About this Item
Original 19th century watercolour painting of a landscape depicting a ruined castle or similar by what appears top be a lakeside. Labelled to rear as follows: "Laurence Burd. A Shrewsbury land agent who painted landscapes and exhibited in Birmingham from 1848-1870." Framed, matted and glazed. Frame measures approx. 13.5" x 12" (34cm x 30cm). The watercolour itself measures approx. 6.25" x 4.5" (16cm x 11.25cm). Foxing to mount. Otherwise some partial marking and minor rubbing to frame. Remains a good original work nonetheless.
