Extensive section with imaginative color and b/w tipped-in plates (some are detached but present), at times offsetting on opposing pages, alphabetical glossary of techniques and technical terms, and list of accessible Japanese artists up to the 19th century and a few from the 20th including written characters and transliterations of the names of the artists.
