Blue cloth with gilt lettering and star decorations. Line of sun to head and heel of spine. Tips of corners lightly rubbed. Previous owner bookplate neatly adhered to front pastedown. Text is clean and bright, no marks. DJ shows rubbing to head and heel, minor sunning to spine. "Every window within sight was shattered. The rooms stood open to the rain. The curtains blew about, sopping and forlorn. Behind him, in the garage, lay his wife, Joan, sleeping in an overcoat.
