Volume 4 (Biographical), of 4 volumes. 1941 first edition, The Historical Record Association (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), 7 1/8 x 10 1/2 inches tall brown cloth hardcover, no dust jacket, yellow lettering to spine, image of oil derrick embossedd to front cover, marbled endpapers, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs and engravings (engravings with tissue guards), index for all four volumes, 1131-1538 pp. (407 pages total) Slight soiling and moderate to heavy rubbing and edgewear to covers. Heavy wear along front hinge, but the binding is quite solid. Fraying to spine caps, with a bit of cracking and chipping to the upper spine. Slight edge-chipping to the marbled front free-endpaper. Otherwise, apart from slight marginal age toning, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce collection of Oklahoma biographies from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
