About this Item
Novel about a woman, raised in England, who returns to Louisiana to discover that her mother may have been the descendent of a slave. No date on the title or copyright page so it's difficult to determine when this was published or what edition this is. Book's interior is in excellent condition while the cover has some obvious wear at the point where the cover meets the spine, both front and rear. The novella "The Hired Baby" -- described as a romance of the London streets -- also is included in this volume. Marie Correlli wrote Hired Baby. Seller Inventory # 148

More InformationThe buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Our standard shipping is done through the U.S. Post Office and what is referred to as "Media Mail," the least expensive way to send a book. If you want the shipping to be done through a different channel, please advise us of your request. If it can be done in a reasonable amount of time, an effort will be made to satisfy the request. Books are packaged well so that they are not damaged in shipping. Some will be shipped in a small box while others will be mailed in a padded envelope.
