This is a lovely book! There is quite a lot of foxing/shading at the book edges, but this merely adds to the charm. 8vo, xvi, 154 pages plus one with ads and 17 illustrations which are aquatint plates. This book has been rebound in green board with leather spine and corners and looks excellent. Deckle edges (ie; untrimmed) to the pages, spine and binding tight. The oval aquatints, printed without caption or imprint, were based on the author's sketches, an apology for the choice of engraving method being included in the dedication, although he talks himself round to liking it!
