Image size (portrait) 170 x 50 mm, 7 x 2 inches, on Whatman's Sketching Board, drawn originally as a tailpiece for one of the stories but not published in the book which appeared first in 1913. It depicts an elderly gentleman in a long plain cloak in slippers and spectacles wearing a large hat on which is perched a small long legged bird.
