1847 Description: Full burgundy leather binding with ribbed spine and clasp to front edge. Gilt text block edges. Yellow endpapers with inscription to ffep. Inscription to ffep from Susan Ann Fry (daughter of John Fry from the Chocolate family in Bristol). Book appears to have been originally owned by Rachel Fry (Rachel Pease - daughter of Thomas Pease the founder of the Fabian Society and son of Edward Reynold Pease "father of the English Railways" and main promoter of the Stockton and Darlington Railway) and passed to Susan Fry on her death in 1853. Language: Greek. Book Condition> Very Good: minor wear to corners, edges and spine. Small nick to upper front spine edge. Lightly tarnished clasp. First two pages half attached at gutter. Tightly bound with strong hinges. Lightly tanned unmarked pages. DJ Condition> Na. 696pp. Size: 32mo, 16cm by 10cm.
