Hardback. Condition: Very good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 2nd UK. Revised from the 1903 first edition. With a biographical preface by Geoffrey Winthrop Young, this is a mountaineering classic from one of the early climbing greats. The book is in very good condition with only a little foxing to the end papers. No marks or inscriptions and binding clean and tight. Originally released in 1904 this edition includes a foreword by the son of the author, indicating some omissions and included articles. Grey cloth boards with purple lettering to the spine and purple decoration to the front. Minor bumping and shelf wear to the edges. Neat name inscribed to the ffep. Foxing to the closed page edges. Pictorial clipped dust jacket with wear to the extremities. Now in a new removable protective clear sleeve. 227pp, pages are clean with black and white photographs, illustrations and maps throughout.
