An unnumbered 16 page illustrated linen paper story book (including covers) that features a collection of nine classic fairy tales: "The Three Bear", "Little Black Sambo", "Hansel and Gretel", "The Three Little Kittens", "Three Billy Goats Gruff", "The Tortoise and the Hare", "The Little Red Hen", "Rumpelstiltskin", and "The Shoemaker and the Elves." Each tale is accompanied by whimsically colored illustrations by Florence Salter. The book was published by Merrill, and has #3441 printed on the cover.
