Nine Stories (1953) is a collection of short stories by American fiction writer J. D. Salinger published in April 1953. It includes two of his most famous short stories, "A Perfect Day for Bananafish" and "For Esmé with Love and Squalor", which were originally published from 1948-1950, respectively. Salinger then published "The Catcher In The Rye" in 1951. Nine Stories was an compilations of short stories that were published in The New Yorker and Harper's Magazine. This copy is in Fine condition, and the Dust Wrapper is in Very Good. The DJ has shelf wear blemishes and some slight wear to the spine jacket edges, and folds. The spine is very tight. In black cloth with immaculate gilding on spine. This is a BOOK CLUB EDITION , which was printed in 1953 and carries the Little Brown publishing mark. It is in amazing condition for a BC book.
