This copy has been professionally recased providing new black endpapers hence it sits square and tight with sharp corners and spine tips solid where imperceptible repairs have been done; a spot of rubbing 7mm x 5 mm near lower front corner. Green boards, the front showing a boat framed in bright gilt decorative frame. The gilt to the spine faded. Unblemished gilt to all edges. Internally foxing to half-title; less so the frontis plate of Karnnak. Tissue guard has finger tip size brown mark and a 1cm tear. The plate opposite, replicating image on cover has even less foxing and the title page is largely free of it. Title page has no date but states 'New Edition'. All plates vg and present including two folding and one map. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 001061
