Doubleday Doran, New York, 1935. Hardcover, 311 pp. 14th printing. First released in 1931, this book was popular for its bawdy humor. This printing is for the Hollywood movie tie-in with a collage of scenes from the film decorating the dust jacket. Good condition only with age toning of endpapers, a bookplate, tape and darkened tape residue where the jacket was once attached on both paste-downs. Pages are clean and bright, and the binding remains solid but no longer tight. Dust jacket has general soiling and chips at head of spine (visible in first photo).
