11 pp, in orignal wrappers, stapled binding. Clean and sound, with minimal wear. Scarce address given by David Rockefeller to the Regional Plan Association in New York on February 16, 1971. Rockefeller describes "the urban crisis" as "a kind of witches' brew, blended from all the major ills of our time--inadequate educational systems, hard-core unemployment, poverty in the midst of plenty, antiquated transportation, shameful housing, insufficient public facilities, and all the rest." He offers a proposal for the development and financing of new communities with a wide range of options for housing, unemployment, and recreation--using Columbia, Maryland as the "outstanding example" of such a community under development.
