This 4.75 x 7.0 inch, 175 page hardcover book is the 1886 edition of this title with that date given on the copyright page as ?Copyright 1886,? with apparently numerous earlier editions. This copy is in very good condition with an elaborately decorated soft green cloth cover with multiple designs in black-and-gilt on front panel and spine - - with the title ?Young People?s Library? given on both front panel and spine. The covers and decoration are bright and clean for the books age - - with a bit of wear and bumping at the corners but really the binding is very good. The interior text shows an illustrated frontispiece which is the only illustration in the book. The text pages show a bit of age toning and brownish flecking to the pages but this really is only minimal and probably comes from the type of paper used, with little or no foxing showing in the text. The book contains ?A Vocabulary from the Skalzi,? several reprinted articles from de Smet and others, and then ?The short Indian catechism? at the end of the book. 175 pages.
