Millais, plus 1 other plate with 2 b/w photograph illustrations all plates are clean and the contents free of foxing. This copy numbered 185 of a limitation of 550 copies, bound in the publishers two tone cloth with gilt title to the upper cover, a very good copy +. The book covers the natural history, habits, habitat, and shooting of game birds. Schwerdt notes "A fine publication, one of the few modern shooting books which has considerably risen in value probably on account of the plates after Thorburn, printed by Albert Frisch of Berlin which are exceptionally beautiful.
