1963 Book Club hardcover in rust faux leather boards with sharp tips and bumped spine ends. 288 untrimmed pages. No names, tears or soil, hinges fine. Charming illustrated color art on professionally reproduced unclipped dj matches color frontis by Walter Seton. Nice text line illustrations by Earle B. Winslow. Dj shows Velvet sailing over a stone wall in the country on the big piebald horse while a trainer looks on in the distance. Small chip and water mark at head of dust jacket backstrip, moderate surface & handling soil on cream background of dj but still displays well on the shelf. Seller Inventory # 38281
