This copy does have boards which could be recovered (though too big) BUT it is only an edition of the original work accredited eventually to either Wilcocke, Samuel Hull or Elice, Edward the Elder (John Hackett) but it's initial edition published anonymously on behalf of the government, in a complete Second edition it would be accompanied by 'A Statement Respecting The Earl of Selkirk's Settlement Upon the Red River . Its Destruction 1815 and 1816' (this is NOT present) possibly intentionally removed or just suffering from time. The very last page of the appends is missing. The text block itself is clean and firm, small glue blemish to iv, with the end papers loose inserted,has (I think): 'Scientific Association in ink to head of title page and in pencil to foot of same.
