This 5.5 x 8.25 inch, 244 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the apparent 1954 printing of this title with that date shown on the copyright page but no additional printing information given. The page opposite the title page lists the titles of Mumford's books beginning with a 1922 title and coming down to two titles in 1951 but nothing beyond 1951. This copy features a brick-red paper-over-boards with a brown cloth back-strip with yellow printing on the title and the covers and text are in near fine condition with no markings or real wear or damage showing. The dust wrapper shows a yellow-white-and-red design on front panel with black lettering, a picture of Mumford on the rear panel, and the $3.75 price unclipped. 244 pages.
