Holland, Rupert S.: NEPTUNE'S SUN. Cleveland: Word Syndicate, 1937. Word Syndicate, like so many juveniles publishers, never indicated edition. Fine hardcover in lightly chipped dustwrapper, an exciting pictorial of a South American cowboy or gaucho rushing horseback with whip raised trying to beat a marauding leopard off the rump of his steed. Though part of the tale takes place in South America the illustration is misleading; this is chiefly a sea story and pirate tale that takes our hero from Kennebunkport to the Falklands and Cape Horn to islands of the Pacific, with a Robinsonesque castaway ingredient, and a treasure such as was de rigeur for such outings.
