Originally published by Collins in 1920. This is the second UK paperback edition - there was a Penguin edition in 1935. The spine is very heavily faded with all the lettering illegible - the publishers logo has oddly remained fairly bright however. The edges of the spine are a little rubbed and there is light surface chipping at the top and the bottom. The front cover has light chipping to the corners. There is a one inch crease to the top corner of the rear cover which also has two small tears to the top edge next to the spine. Pages heavily browned at the edges and a little brittle. There is some corner creasing and because of the brittle paper this has led to some loss at the very tips to several pages - they are otherwise clean and unmarked however.
