Illustrated English edition hardback translated by C. Rollin-Tilton, 1882, in full leather school prize binding with no jacket. In overall very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - maroon leather binding with gilt crest to front, the spine with five raised bands and green leather gilt title label, are darkened to spine and edges. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions - school prize-plate to front pastedown dated 1887; marbled page-ends, marbled endpapers text and illustrations bright and clear throughout.
