About this Item
11 x 7 3/4", 113pp., illustrated. Wrappers printed in black & red titles & designs. 1/2" piece of paper wrapper chipped off top of spine, 1/4" at bottom of spine, 1/2" tear to mid spine, original glassine which has tanned & a few brown spots to glassine. Slight inner spliting, else a near fine copy of an item that was meant to be rebound (preferably by one of the great Parisian binders of the twenties). Symbolist poet Henri de Regnier's mysterious, erotic, occult tinged tale set in the 18th century. Several illustrated editions exist, but these finely printed & detailed illustrations are reminiscent of the finest 18th century work. Fragile & scarce item. (French text).
