Numerous full-page, high-quality plates in color and b&w and many other illustrations of the work of such notable illustrators as Rockwell Kent, Arthur Rackham, Aubrey Beardsley, Cecil Aldin, Edmund Dulac, Edward Ardizzone, Eric Gill, Clare Leighton, Eric Daglish, Edward Wilson, Robert Gibbings, John Austin, Ernest Shephard, Rex Whistler, John Tenniel and many others. This copy in Very Good or better condition (see photo), with bumping and wear to the spine ends and corners but otherwise a fine copy; just a bit of foxing on the rear pastedown, otherwise the interior is pristine; no foxing or other issues with the fabulous plates.
