About this Item
2nd revised edition. Binding tight; pages clean with prior owner's signature at top of front endpaper; unclipped ($7.25) DJ complete and only slightly spine-faded but taped firmly to boards, unfortunately (see photos). A collection of Joya's articles "on things Japanese," originally written for The Japan Times. The veteran journalist's pieces "cover a wide range, from living habits, social and personal customs, food and household goods to religious practices, festivals, traditions and superstitions." The goal: "to help the peoples of the West obtain a better insight into the often 'strange and mysterious' practices and doings of the Japanese people." A surprisingly uncommon title, particularly in dust jacket. 2.7 pounds. 732 pages + 32 pages of index. Seller Inventory # 7538

Store Description
If I've mischaracterized a book, please let me know, and I'm happy to accept returns for refunds.
Orders usually ship within three business days. I generally pack books in boxes, with padding, and unless they're unusually bulky or heavy -- more than four pounds or so -- I won't ask for additional shipping costs. For domestic media-mail buyers, anyway. Prices for international and even priority shipping can get *insane*.
