Engraved portrait-frontispiece (offset) 12mo Binding with some slight wear to edges and corners, but a very nice copy; inscriptions on title-page. Fore-edge painting of special charm showing Vigo Street, London, and in particular Albany and Bodley House Contemporary full maroon straight-grain morocco, blind rolls, gilt centrepiece (a lyre surrounded by an oval of leafy sprays) and cornerpieces to sides, spine in compartments with raised bands, lettered in gilt , densely decorated in gilt with flowers, birds, palmettes, volutes and circles, turn-ins with gilt roll, all edges gilt.
