8vo, (8) pp. Loosely inserted is the invitation to the service as well as two postcards, of Folkington Church and David's grave there, plus a two page autograph letter on David's headed notepaper to Melissa Bakewell of the BBC, concerning the 1987 radio programme "A Matter of Taste." Decorative wrappers, stapled as issued, reproducing John Minton's dust wrapper design for "French Country Cooking" as well as two black and white illustrations inside. Scarce. "A Matter of Taste", broadcast in January 1987, collected tributes from friends and colleagues including Jane Grigson, John Lehmann and Prue Leith, to David's long career and influence on British food. "I thought it was a very nice programme, and all those people were so kind, it was almost embarrassing," David writes, her only caveat being the readings of her work - "she made my writing sound so boring I began to wonder why on earth anybody ever bought my books.".
