The 'Memoirs' and 'Fugitive Pieces' are usually catalogued separately, but are generally, as here, found in one volume. Boyne says of Cole - 'He was the Thomas Gent of his day, but very unlike him in one respect; Cole published very few copies so as to keep his books rare .'
