Extra copper plate engraved portrait of Sully affixed to the verso of the front free endpaper of vol 2. Full contemporary calf, marbled endpapers, gilt double fillet borders on both sides. Backs gilt in six compartments, gilt black lettering pieces in the second & forth, the rest with gilt octagonal ornaments enclosing rosette centered lozenges. Good set with wear to edges & extremities, head & tail-caps worn, joints rubbed & cracked or starting but all boards still attached & most still strong, back-strips rubbed & with some chips, gilt bright, sheets crisp with some minor foxing.
