Single sheet, 20.5 x 12.25", printed on both sides and folded to 30 panels._____  A couple of the internal corners have very small splits._____ Mounted into printed heavy paper covers._____ All in all a very nice example of the vest pocket type map._____  These are usually found mis-folded and with resultant damage._____ The map shows Idaho with each county in color._____  The adjacent Montana and Nevada portions are in black & white._____    Scaled at 26 miles per inch it shows section lines in the southern, eastern and northwestern portions of the state conducive to farming._____   The rest is dominated by mountain ranges indicated by hachure and deserts._____   The Union Pacific is the only identified railroad._____    Several towns in the south have been spotted by pencil with their populations written in._____ The top quarter of the rear of the sheet contains the locator indices of counties, towns (with populations), lakes, rivers, mountain peaks and passes._____    The majority of this side is occupied by text describing the history, terrain, climate, agriculture and mining activity, transportation progress and the status of local Indian tribes._____ WorldCat (09/23) shows just two similar holdings, Idaho State Archives and Princeton._____  The former is described as a photocopy._____  The latter makes no mention of any text on the verso.___.
