About this Item
Ex-library. 4to. 37,3pp. Original pictorial wrappers. Chilling account of the heroic uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto by the Jewish resistance. The insurgency was launched against the Germans on January 18, 1943 to oppose the Nazi's efforts to transport the remaining ghetto population to the Treblinka extermination camp. Heavy chipping, rippling, creasing, and some staining on wraps. Library bar-code on front wrapper, inventory sticker taped across spine. Some writing and markings in black and red pen on front cover. Library pocket on inside of front wrapper, bookplate of Peter M. Kahn, Jewish Community Library on title-page. Few interior leaves chipped, water staining and creasing to some pages. Poor condition.
