Unstated edition, indeterminate printing though on the copyright page it states "Edition of 1954 / A", which could suggest that this is a first print. Hard cover with no dust jacket. 11-1/2" x 9-1/8", 96 numbered pages. This book has been read but is in respectable condition: it is clean, with no tears, stains or page damage; the original owner's name is inked on the front paste down--that is the only writing in the book. All four fore edge corners are bumped with the bottom corners showing just a bit of the boards; the bottom 1-1/4" of the spine has what looks like a moisture stain, but there is no damage whatever to the text pages. 24 chapters, covering 22 different animals, all different; each page seems to have at least one black-and-white illustration and most chapters have one color illustration. There is slight 'foxing' along the spine and on the front cover for about an inch from the spine. Seller Inventory # BMR-2022-4-28-1
