Good condition only, with overall general wear and fading, chipping at the bottom and one small chip out of the town of Newfield. 15 inset views of buildings, 9 inset plans. An attractive map, with a decorative border intertwined around the building views. It includes a large inset map of the town of Ithaca. This is one of the earliest Smith productions which was used in the French-Smith map of New York in 1859. Robert Piersall Smith's name appears along with those of Horace and Charles Smith.
