With about 180 fine engravings of stately homes, two to a leaf, with tissue guards, and commentary on each, giving the history and the names of the family, and paintings in the collections. Taken from the drawings of J. P. Neale, and engraved by many hands (Hernshall, Watkins, Radclyfe, Hay, etc.). Foxed throughout, affecting some plates but not all. Half leather and marbled boards, very worn at extremities and hinges, and with a three-inch loss to spine. T.e.g. Volume II only. Seller Inventory # 011164
