Red simulated leather stamped in gilt. Large octavo. 227pp. Illustrated. An account of the 113th "Red Horse" mechanized cavalry unit from its beginnings through World War II. This unit of the Iowa National Guard saw heavy action against German forces in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. The book is well illustrated with photographs including one large foldout panoramic view. A very good copy with minor wear.
