Oversized tan cloth with brown and gilt lettering, brown vignette to front board. Age toning to endpapers at gutters, text is otherwise clean and bright, no marks. Dust jacket shows small chips and losses, rubbing and wear to all edges. Profusely illustrated throughout with photographs and drawings by the author. "Dr. Nutting has wandered from one end of the State to the other imprisoning lovely vistas upon the plates of his camera. No art can reproduce the magic of the Maine woods nor the glorious tang of its sea0born air, but his genius has captured all that can be caught of the charm and beauty "by lakes and sandy shores, beneath the crags of ancient mountain, and beneath the clouds, which image in their bulk both lakes and shores and mountain crags."
