!st edition, 1907. Small 16mo (5.5 x 4 inches), pp. 76 + 1(ad), edges uncut, hardback. Book condition - G+., contents clean, front and back flyleaves shows moderate offsetting/ foxing, occasional very light foxing in text, no inscriptions, binding sound with inner hinges intact ; original pale cloth spine with brown paper to boards, title in gilt to spine and front, corners rubbed and split, board edges rubbed, back a bit dusty but no real marks, spine complete with no splits, spine is tanned and gilt, though complete, is a somewhat dulled, front again is a bit dusty/slightly grubby but gilt is complete and fairly bright. No dustwrapper. A very scarce original book of poetry from the 'Actor, Soldier, Poet' . The author was a lead actor in some of the silent movies of the early twentieth century ; he served in the army during the First World War and returned to acting afterwards, though mostly on the stage.
