Husserl is generally regarded as the principal founder of phenomenology and one of its leading and most influential proponents. Logical Investigations abandons the psychologism of his earlier works at least in part due to criticisms from Gottlob Frege. This work influenced thinkers in both the continental and analytical schools of philosophy, including Heidegger.
