Full color pictorial paper covered boards with lettering printed in black to front and back covers, with no signs of handling or wear for what is an amazingly nice copy of the book. Original publisher's two-part paper over card box with the box top design matching the front cover of the book, with the addition of the title printed in black on the bottom side of the top with very minor sporadic rubbing to the corners and edges of the top, with several closed splits to the edges of both parts of the box but no corners are broken and the box remains intact and fully functional for what is a bright, clean example of the original publisher's box. Color pictorial endpapers. [38] pp., plus [1] leaf following text with publisher's series advertisement to verso. The story is about a lonely little girl, who with the help of a host of fairies, looks for and finds a playmate. Illustrated by Henderson with fourteen vivid, full color, full page illustrations, along with several additional full color illustrations within text. The condition of the book is FINE.
