Kaster, a US scholar (died 1968) - teacher and lecturer in New York. Here he gives us translations of ancient Egyptian texts (with excerpts of hieroglyphics at the head of each chapter). These are preceded by commentaries of his own to open each chapter. A very solid copy with a rust-brown hard cloth casing and spotless text; the d-j is worn at all edges, especially the spine( see illus). 304 pages; 1970 reprint of a 1968 book. 6.5 x 9.5 inches.
