This is a beautifully illustrated vintage copy of "The Life and Strange, Surprising Adventures of ROBINSON CRUSOE" by Daniel Defoe. Circa 1910's (there is no date of publication stated); Hodder & Stoughton; New York. This edition is richly illustrated with 24 plates in color Noel Pocock. Illustrated end papers in color. The front cover has embossed illustrations of sand and a footprint. Condition: Light foxing on the covers and spine; the spine has darkened. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no loose pages. The paper between the front end paper and spine has split half-way up from the the bottom (though the front cover remains firmly in place and is not shaky). Nice pages - mostly clean with only a few random smudges found, and some light foxing to the last few pages. The illustration associated with page 60 has torn at the bottom-right corner.
