Early leather boards and spine, containing raised bands, faded gilt decorated segments and contrasting faded title panel. 1x1.5cm leather seperation at crown of spine and similar 0.5x0.75cm at foot of spine. Leather on spine cracked and split on lower second segment but since grafted and repaired. Top corner bumped, lower corner chipped. Armourial bookplate and small handwrittten presentation inscription by previous owner, dated 1825 on front endpaper. Front ep loosening. Period owner's inscription to rear of frontispiece. Titlepage printed in red and black. Includes four page epistle dedicatory, 639pp and fifteen page index. Seller Inventory # MOD138
