A beautiful copy of a classic in Near Fine Condition. Illustrated with drawings by Thomas Hart Benton. An introduction by Edward Wagenknecht. Bound in blue leather with gilt titling and intricate decorations. Text block edges gilt in excellent condition, with minimal gilt loss (see picture). Green silk moire end papers with a green free ribbon marker bound in. Edges of end papers lightly faded along the edge (see picture). Book appears to be unread. Part of Easton Press' Masterpieces of American Literature Collector's edition. Bookplate for Easton Press' Masterpieces of American Literature included (Not yet attached); 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall.
