pp 122 Bertolt Brecht's play, translated by Desmond I Vesey. Paperback edition 1965, very good in photographic wrappers, scuffed and creased to spine. Extensive pencil annotations throughout by Harry Stopes-Roe. This book comes from the collection of the scientist and pioneer birth-control campaigner Marie Stopes (1880-1958) which was inherited by her son the philosopher Harry Stopes Roe (1924-2014) and sold following the death of his widow Mary Stopes Roe in May of this year. Mary was herself an academic and author, the daughter of the engineer and inventor of the bouncing bomb, Sir Barnes Wallis.
