The scarce hardcover issue of this college journal, which is published in facsimile form, Gardner's handwriting being a beautiful level hand which can be read about as well as a typeface, though for some a typeset text that follows the photostat will be the place to breeze thru this piece, which is chiefly interesting in that it shows how the writer/teacher felt about his school themes when he was on the receiving end of assignments, He was 19 at the time. The hard-bound version was issued in 800 copies, this not being a numbered one, if any were (?) There were 200 special marbled deluxe copies, as well, signed by the project's manager, who took a class once from Gardner, and 1,000 more copies put out in soft-cover, for a grand total of 2,000. Some cute drawings and cartoon-like sqiggles show Gardner at play in the classroom, or afterwards. He does comment on the writers he was reading for his classes. What he might have said if he saw this stuff in print after a serious writing and teaching career, probably would not be printable. Fine condition in fine dust jacket. Seller Inventory # 2222
