(Junius). The Letters of Junius, Vol. I & II. L: John Sharpe, Picadilly, 1820. Two Volumes bound as One. Pp. (2), [iii]-xviii, [19]-203, (1), (2), [3]-212. 12mo, full maroon calf with decorative gilt borders to both boards, an intricate in-blind basket-weave pattern contained within said borders, raised bands with gilt to the five compartments, gilt titles to spine, gilt dentelles, all edges and endpapers marbled, green ribbon marker. A collection of letters on political topics written by the an unknown author (pseudonym Junius) in the period 1767 to 1772 in England. Front hinge just starting, front paste-down scarred due to removal of bookplate, title pages browned, one half-inch shallow goudge to the rear board at the spine, some wear to the edges, internally very good. A nice example of early nineteenth century fine binding 150.00. Seller Inventory # 68176
