149 p. 21 cm. B&w frontisportrait of the writer. Blue cloth hardcover with black print. Some discolouration to spine and board edges. Letter attached at front from the author's father, George Gray, to Anglican Bishop R. J. Renison in Schumacher, Ontario. The author, son of George Leishman Gray and Ethel Anne Gray of Toronto, died aged 23 on June 14, 1944, and is buried at Brookwood Military Cemetery, UK. His letters describe his first leave in Scotland, leave in Northern Ireland and Eire, summer with his squadron in Yorkshire, impressions of Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, Wales and the Lake District, and the Invasion Spring.
