Deathbed Edition. BAL's Binding C with faux signature. (Early printing with no date on title page, second publisher address.) 438 pp. Bound in publisher's green cloth with gilt spine lettering and top edge. Very Good with slight mottling to cloth, bumped corners, professionally repaired front hinge. Contents bright. Whitman's final arrangement of his masterwork, which is technically not an edition. It was produced from the sheets of McKay's 1888 edition with additional annexes tacked on at the end in a race against the poet's declining health. Seller Inventory # 140943933
