The Kitchener Mystery by Frank Power, Rotary Press, London, c.1926, Rare paperback book.Rare first book edition of this celebrated "hoax" (? ), questioning and examining in a controversial narrative the events surrounding the death at sea of celebrated Field Marshall Lord Kitchener in the sinking of HMS Hampshire during WWI, and a claimed cover-up of negligence and conspiracy in the failure to rescue the survivors (inclusing Kitchener). Power was a journalist who allegedly perpetrated two famous hoaxes, this regarding Kitchener, and one regarding Jack the Ripper.Pages: 98ppDescription / Condition: Some edge wear, tears, browning and marks to cover.
