limited edition, this copy numbered 291, 162pp., photographs, blue paper covers. About half of the pages are unbound, having come loose from their staples. Other than a little browning / foxing here and there, the contents are in good order. The spine is a bit worn with a two staple holes and the front cover is detached; otherwise the covers are good. A detailed biography and discography of one of the most important figures in early American jazz. Oliver was the mentor and teacher of Louis Armstrong. This copy is numbered 291, but it is unclear how many appeared in this edition - which I believe is the trade paperback edition of this title. Seller Inventory # 4066
